Ethernet Profile:

  1. Use the notification center to open the settings app in your system.
  2. Click on the NETWORK AND INTERNET option in the settings.
  3. Next Click on the Ethernet option.
  4. Click on the adapter option which is located on the left side menu.
  5. Then Click on the network profile and select any two options below.
  6. PUBLIC : to stop sharing and hide your network location.
  7. PRIVATE : to make your computer visible to all other devices to access for sharing purpose.

WI-FI Profile:

When you are connected to the WiFi network follow the below steps;

  1. open the settings.
  2. Click the network and internet option.
  3. Next Click on the WI-FI.
  4. Click on the adapter to configure.
  5. Under network profiles select the one of the option.
  6. PUBLIC : to stop sharing and hide your network location.
  7. PRIVATE : to make your computer visible to all other devices to access for sharing purpose.
