Routers

A router is a electronic device.A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks.A router is connected to two or more data lines from different IP networks.The most familiar type of IP routers are home and small office routers.A router provides high-speed internet connectivity with the different types of ports like gigabit, fast-Ethernet, and STM link port.
When multiple routers are used in interconnected networks, the routers can exchange their information about target addresses using a routing protocol.
There are four Types of routers:
Wired and wireless routers core routers, edge routers and VPN routers.

Wired routers share data over cables and create wired local area networks (LANs),
Mean while wireless routers use antennas to share data and create wireless local area networks (WLANs).
