Troubleshoot Blue Screen Errors

While you are playing or doing some work in your laptop or pc which is having windows 10 you will get some blue screen errors. You’ll usually see a message that shows a sad face your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart” and general code.

This is the most common reason though since I was also faced this error during update. This is because of missing drivers or uncompleted OS installation. Drivers like display and GPU is the main reasons for this errors. So we goanna show how to fix this errors using troubleshoot.

BLUE SCREEN ERROR DURING OR AFTER AN UPDATE:

As you know while installing a new update in windows 10 you will run into a blue screen error. This is due to incompatible specifications of your pc or laptop, applications or unwanted software.

When you will get this error it will automatically get back to boot loader and try to restart of your windows to solve the problem. Sometimes it restore to the previous version of the windows.

When you get this error you can troubleshot this error while trying to update by the following steps:

Uninstall the third party application like it drives into the root folder and some miscellaneous software.

Go to the settings.
Click the system and navigate the mouse pointer to the apps & features.

Select the apps you want to uninstall and click the uninstall option.

DISK CLEANUP

Open file manager.
Click on this pc.
Right click on c: drive.

Select properties and select disk cleanup.

And clean temporary files and unwanted files in your c: drive.

By cleaning your c: drive your pc will work faster than before and no chances to get blue screen error. After doing this try to install your windows. If you are installing with the USB make sure it is free of virus.

BY CLEAN INSTALLATION:

If you are getting this error than limit of times then you can move on further step and you can prevent blue screen errors during an upgrade. First you need to copy all the data into external hard drive or set backup using google drive or one drive or in the USB flash drive.

If you are new user of the windows 10 to upgrading from the windows 7 or windows 8.1 to need the activation key. If you are already a user of windows 10 previous version and try to upgrade to the new version it will automatically reactivate after an upgrade.

And make sure your PC’S BIOS must be configured to the boot from a USB drive. If you are facing any problems related to the BIOS configuration then move on to the manufacturer’s website for support.

Follow the below steps to clean installation of windows 10.

Start your pc with the USB drive.

Click next Button.
Press install now.
Select on the “I don’t have any product key” if you have any product key then enter.

Select the OS you want to install.
Click on the custom install.

Select and delete the c: or primary partition including windows 10
Click next
Then click the install and wait for until it install.

After completion you can reinstall your applications and backup your files.

HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT BLUE SCREEN ERROR DURING BOOT WITH DESKTOP ACCESS:

Update all you drivers to the latest version.

Install the latest version of windows 10 updates:

Go to the setting.
Click on update & security.

Click windows update.
Update all the security patches and all the updates shown in the tool.

Windows is functioned to automatic update when the internet is active so no need to worry if you are connected to the wireless internet or to the wired internet service.

Install the latest version of drives:

Right click on the start and click on the device manager.
Or use windows key+x to open the power user manager.

Right click on the device and choose update driver software.

Click the search automatically for updated driver software.

Wait for a while and it automatically search new versions of drivers to install. If it couldn’t find in automatic mode then go to the official website of your manufacturer then search and download drivers.

Uninstall the updates and drivers, applications:

If your drivers are corrupted during installation or errors or bugs in drivers, virus threads in unwanted applications, incomplete installation of an update then blue screen error is appear. So follow steps to uninstall them.

Open control panel.
Choose uninstall a program link.

Click view installed updates.

Right click on the most recent update and uninstall the update.

Uninstall the device driver:

If you get any error after install the new version of driver then uninstall using below steps.

Right click on the start and click on the device manager.

Or use windows key+x to open the power user manager.
Open driver causing the problem.

Right the device and click uninstall.
Click OK.

If you don’t want to uninstall the driver then roll back to the previous version.

But sometimes it cannot possible to rollback.

Uninstall the applications:

If you are getting the blue screen error by after installing of the new application then uninstall by following steps.

Open settings.
Click on the system.

Click apps & features.

Select the application you want to uninstall.

HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT BLUE SCREEN IN BOOT WITHOUT DESKTOP ACCESS:

If you the blue screen error many times then let it boot three times until it take you to the automatic repair environment, then follow the below steps.

Open the “choose an option” in troubleshoot.
Click the advanced option.

Click on system restore.
After reboot select your account to sign in
Click next.

The system will automatically choose restore option after install of a new update of app, driver.

Select next option.
Click finish to restore point.

After doing these steps, the update is automatically removed by system restore which can help to fix the stop error.
